About KiddieDaily
KiddieDaily is a free, independent daily news service for families. We believe every parent deserves access to balanced, kid-safe news — without paywalls, ads, or political spin.
Our mission
Ground-level news for parents: so you have the unbiased data you need to make the best decisions for your child. We don't tell you what to think — we give you the landscape, and the tools to read it critically.
How it works
Every morning at 6am ET, our automated scraper collects stories from 36 vetted sources spanning the full political spectrum. Each story is:
- Filtered through a kid-safety blocklist (violence, explicit content, age-inappropriate topics)
- Ranked to prioritize science, discovery, and nature over political conflict
- Bias-rated using AllSides and Ad Fontes Media methodology
- Grouped when multiple outlets cover the same topic — so you can compare framing
We publish up to 11 new articles per day. Science-focused sources are weighted higher because they tend to be more universally relevant to families and less politically charged.
By the numbers: 2286 articles published · 61% science content · 36 sources · 0 ads · 0 trackers · updated daily at 6am ET
Our principles
- Balance over narrative. We pull from Left, Center, and Right outlets. No single outlet is always right or always wrong.
- Science first. Discovery, nature, space, and health science take priority over political conflict.
- Kid-safe filtering. Our blocklist removes violence, explicit content, and age-inappropriate material before any article is considered.
- Parent-grade transparency. Every article shows which outlets covered it and how they lean. You see the bias before you read the story.
- No agenda. We're not affiliated with any political party, religion, or advocacy organization. We're a family project.
